Lovely Wear:

I love this dot print top with the yellow cardigan, it’s my favorite blouse as of late and kind of used it as inspiration for the new blog design. I was sent a pair of Swedish Hasbeens and I have to say, I am a huge fan!! They are incredible and legit! I often forget that feet are so important and the shoes we wear really go along with that – yet sometimes I just buy inexpensive low quality shoes that are rough on my feet. So treat yourself to a quality pair of shoes! :)ย

Lovely Wear:

Haven’t done a lovely wear in months! We traveled a lot in the summer and I thought I’d post my go-to travel wear. I really prefer to travel in comfortable clothes…while I’d love to look cute in a dress or something, it’s just nice to be comfortable! I always go with black leggings – if you don’t have a pair in your closet, you must go buy some! They’re an essential in my book. Always bring a sweater in case the plane is cold, you never know. I actually don’t usually wear a lot of jewelry because I don’t want to deal with it in security but added it for this outfit ๐Ÿ˜‰
I recently became an owner ofย Pons Avarcas!ย I’d seen them around before but Sunny wore a pair to work and I fell in love! They’re handmade in Spain and they are amazing. I wore them all over Seattle & Portland a few weeks ago and they were so comfortable. We did a lot of walking but I didn’t feel it at all. So cute style + super quality comfort = total win! :)

What sort of clothing do you typically travel in?

These mustard pants from Target were an instant buy. I really like this pairing of dusty mint and mustard. It’s been sort of cold in the morning but warms up so I just throw on a scarf in the morning. I love scarves too though, I’d wear them year round if it didn’t get so hot in the summer.

ย

My shoes are by Swedish Hasbeens, I was introduced to this brand by Ruby. I had never heard of them before! I can’t actually afford them and don’t own any pairs besides these, which I scored these at the flea market for only $25 bucks! They were pretty worn but I was pretty excited I found some in my size! (Tip: Sometimes I watch Ebay for less expensive options)

My hair is getting really long. I think it’s time for a haircut. The weather in Orange County has been kind of random. Really cold and then really warm, it can’t decide. I wish we got a little more rain because it seems like it hardly rains here, heh. I’ve been wearing pants, blouses, sweaters, and scarves a lot lately. I do love the rain but if it’s gonna be cold but not rain, I’d rather just have it be warm…. I kind of can’t wait to be back in skirts and dresses ๐Ÿ˜‰ย

I wanted mustard tights for some pictures that Nick & I were taking and I couldn’t find them online or anything. So I went to the mall to look. I hardly ever go to the mall, I’m not a big fan. So after going to several stores & thinking the chances of finding mustard tights were now very slim, I stopped in at one last shop, Charlotte Russe. They had no tights but one of the employees told me they have a couple left in the sale bin. So I head that way and sure enough, they had one pair of mustard tights left – and on sale too! I know it’s silly to share a story about finding tights but I love finding things like that. I rarely ever find anything I am actually looking for like this ๐Ÿ˜‰
Anyway. today’s outfit consists of my ‘lucky’ mustard tightsย (you can get some here at american apparel or modcloth)ย a plaid dress, a vintage $4 bag from a garage sale, a few accessories, and some super cute shoes I received from Miz Moozย to review –ย I choose the “Hayden” style.ย Have you heard of this brand? I love all the styles and they are so comfortable! I wore them all day on hard concrete floor at our craft show in San Francisco a couple weekend’s ago and my feet didn’t even hurt at all, after standing for 8 hours. legit! :) I often choose style over quality and it’s probably not the best for my poor feet at times – what about you? do you find comfort more important or shoe style?

lovely wear:

Haven’t done a lovely wear in quite some time! Excited to bring them back. It’s summer here so the weather has been pretty hot, but has recently dropped down to a very nice 80-degrees (and even rained a few days ago, random but I loved it!) So time to break out the shorts and summer wear! Today’s outfit consists of seafoam and yellow, some of my favorite colors.ย

It is what it is. yep! and I love elephants lately, this little necklace is one of my favorites. Hope you liked today’s outfit idea. Don’t mind my pasty legs, I don’t like to tan or get dark ๐Ÿ˜‰ Oh, here’s where everything is from!

I was pretty excited when I found this skirt at a thrift shop for only $3. It was a matching set and included a top too (with shoulder pads!) but that would probably be too matchy-matchy .. plus not sure about shoulder pads although I’m sure they’ll make their way back in one day ๐Ÿ˜‰ I am really liking polka dots right now too.

I really like this length for skirts because I’m kind of on the short side (I’m just under 4′ 11″) and I feel taller in this mid-length type of skirt. Don’t get me wrong, I like being short. It’d just be nice to actually be able to buy jeans that are the right length on me w/o having to fold them or sew them (and I never get around to sewing anything) Any other short friends out there? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Today’s outfit includes jeans – my first official outfit post with jeans ๐Ÿ˜‰ I wore jeans one time and Ruby was like, “I’ve never seen you in jeans!!” heh. I do ike skirts and dresses. Anyway, I love the sailboat print on this top and these seriously comfortable clogs.

I get some pretty sweet gifts, what can I say, I’m a lucky girl ๐Ÿ˜‰ Okay, so I know I wear a lot of yellow — I don’t know why I am so drawn to this color. I’m really going to try to not wear any yellow in the next few outfit posts.. We’ll see. What are you wearing these days?

lovely wear:

I saw someone wearing this yellow skirt at the flea market and I of course fell in love… I wasn’t sure where she got it so I randomly checked forever 21. Of all places, they had it.. and for $22, what a steal. It’s obviously my new favorite skirt ๐Ÿ˜‰
Nicholas got me this necklace for Christmas. Love it.
We tried walking to capture how flowy the skirt was..just combined the pics to make a gif which is kind of fun! (made with makeagif.com)

lovely wear / yellow pants:

I came home with these pants the other week and Nick wasn’t crazy about the color. They’re yellow, my favorite. I guess they look sort of orange in the photos. What do you think of the pants? Sure, they’re bright, but I like them ๐Ÿ˜‰ It was hot over the weekend, but it’s starting to cool down now so time to pull out the sweaters + coats.
My latest favorite necklace – a globe watch!
Globes, love. Functional? Even better ๐Ÿ˜‰
This bag has a little lock and key, love! It’s all in the little details.
